Susann Camus is a Canadian who lives in the American South. She writes medical thrillers and mysteries with strong characters, complex plots, and detailed settings. She has graduate degrees in English and Public Health. In British Columbia, she worked with teams of nurses and surgeons to improve patient outcomes in hospitals that were members of the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program. She led investigations into patient harm in hospitals. She has co-edited cookbooks and a symposium on global health. She has studied employee safety in the workplace from her perspective as a healthcare worker and manager, as well as her experience working on assembly lines and in factories. An avid gardener, she volunteers as a Master Gardener in North Carolina. She enjoys planting flowers, learning about unusual plants, and sharing pesticide-free produce.
